Daycare for cats: what a good day looks like

Cats don’t do daycare the way dogs do. A good day for a cat is calm, predictable and very much on their terms.

A room of their own

Cats need space away from dogs, full stop. Our cat room is separate, with shelves at different heights, covered beds and hiding spots, so every cat can choose where they feel safest.

Let them come to you

We don’t pick up a cat who doesn’t want to be held. Carers sit quietly, offer a hand to sniff and wait. Most cats decide to say hello once they know nobody will rush them.

Routine matters

Cats like knowing what’s next. Regular days, the same time of drop-off and familiar food all help. If your cat eats at set times, tell us and we’ll keep to them.

Play, in small doses

A few minutes with a wand toy, some window watching and a puzzle feeder are plenty. Then a long nap. A good day for a cat looks a lot like a good day at home.

Is daycare right for your cat?

Some cats love the company and the change of scene. Others are happier at home. We’ll talk it through honestly at the hello visit and tell you what we see.

Your next conversation

Tell us about your dog or cat and the days you have in mind, or call us on (202) 555-0111. Every pet starts with a hello visit, and we’ll plan their days with you.

Your checklist

  • A carrier they’re used to
  • Their usual food, labeled
  • Their usual eating times
  • How they show they’ve had enough
  • Where they like to hide at home
  • Anything that worries them
