Writing a daily note your carers will use

A short daily note helps your carers give your pet a day that suits them. Here’s what’s worth writing down.

What’s changed

A late night, a new food, a sore paw, a busy weekend. Anything different from usual helps us read their mood and plan their day.

Food and timings

If they eat at daycare, write the amount and the time, and label the container. If they’ve already had breakfast, say so, so nobody offers a second one.

How they’re feeling

Full of beans, a bit flat, clingy, grumpy. Your read of their mood is useful, especially for cats and older dogs who can’t tell us themselves.

Who’s collecting

If someone different is picking up, write their name and number, and tell us in person at drop-off too.

Keep it short

A few lines is perfect. We read every note at drop-off and pass the important bits to whoever is looking after your pet that day.

Your next conversation

Tell us about your dog or cat and the days you have in mind, or call us on (202) 555-0111. Every pet starts with a hello visit, and we’ll plan their days with you.

Your checklist

  • Anything different from usual
  • Food amount and time
  • Whether they’ve had breakfast
  • How they seem today
  • Who’s collecting, with a number
  • A few lines is plenty
Book a hello visit

Come and say hello.

Tell us about your dog or cat and the days you have in mind. We’ll start with a hello visit and plan the rest together.
